However, users who have their own email addresses won't be able to use this app. POP3 and IMAP aren't supported but this shouldn't be an issue for most users. Setting up your email accounts is a breeze as it supports just about everything. The only gripe I have is that long email chains can take a while to load and text is small for some messages. I haven't had it crash or stutter at all. I wish the desktop version was as simple to use as this. While the desktop version gets flack for being bloated and slow, this version for iOS is lightning fast and easy to use. This is super handy for attaching files to your messages. Lastly, there's a Files section which lets you see your most recent files from your cloud drives. Outlook features instant search so results pop up as you're typing a contacts name. If you want to start a new email, you can tap on the compose button at the top or search for a contact in the People section. You can also choose which calendars to display in the menu. For event invites, you can accept, decline or add a tentative response, just like you would in Outlook for the desktop. You can choose from an Agenda, Day or Week view to see all your upcoming events. There's also a great calendar section in the app that just works.

Another nice feature is the ability to swipe right to snooze an email to deal with later.
There's also a search button at the top to quickly search for a specific message. You can also sort your email by Flagged, Unread or look for emails with files under the Quick Filter section. This really helps you get to your most important emails quickly. Less important emails like promos, social media updates and receipts are filed into the Other tab. The Focused section intelligently picks out the most important emails. The inbox is separated into two sections: Focused and Other. This is great for people who don't want to mix their personal and work emails. The app even lets you sign into OneDrive, Box and Dropbox to quickly attach files from those services.Įmail can be combined into a unified inbox but you can chose to go into individual inboxes instead of having everything in one inbox.
In terms of support for different email services, Outlook for iOS supports Exchange,, iCloud, Google and Yahoo.
